STUDIO DEL PRESENTE: INTERMEZZO
Installation, Open air Museum
Artenatura, Villaga, 2021
STUDIO DEL PRESENTE is a continuing to an ongoing investigation into the ever-changing.
"Based on material research and solid craftsmanship, Davide Ronco built a flight of stairs into the hillside using red soil from Colli Berici (circa 20% clay, 20% sand, 20% silt), sand from the Adige river, straw, and water. Making it semi-permanent, under the imprint of humanity and through natural interactions and elements, the stairs will change and erode over time, eventually wearing down and dissolving back into the earth. For him, the work represents the precarious existence of humankind and is a study of transience, fragility, and decay."
The installation after three months (covered by grasshoppers).
