(55°16’59.8”N 12°24’53.8”E) CAIRN CIRCUMSTANCE #2
Object
Officine Saffi Award, 2024
The artwork is made of self-dug clay from the Stevns Klint area, outside Copenhagen. The inner structure is created from unfiltered wedged clay and then unprocessed clay rock chunks are carefully placed on the outside. As clay chunks are found and dug out from the ground, they are then selected and applied to the surface without any further intervention. In this way, the entire object is made from the same material keeping the natural structure and composition of the clay.
The name of the artwork represents the exact excavation point of the clay.
Winner of the Four Arts "Young Artists Prize"
